On the evening of Sunday December 13, John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport demonstrated once again its critical importance as a hub for cargo and goods movement when it welcomed Canada’s first shipment of COVID-19 vaccines, delivered by UPS Canada with facilitation by Canada Border Services Agency.

On hand for the milestone were Ontario Premier Doug Ford, Ontario’s┬áMinister of Public Services and Procurement, Anita Anand, and Cathie Puckering, CEO of John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport.

Throughout the pandemic, Hamilton International has played a key role in the delivery and distribution of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for Canadians, and will continue to facilitate the movement of critical vaccine supply through its 24-hour dedicated cargo infrastructure.
